About Us

A Specialty Concrete Repair Company That You Can Rely On

How We Started

James Roos is typically found at Custom Muffler & Auto Repair, a business he owned near the airport in Kenner, Louisiana. In the year 2011, the shop’s business was too slow that James decided to start a new one.

He recalled watching someone repair a sidewalk in Metairie when he was younger, which he finds interesting. With this experience in mind, he gathered his friends, Mark Altmyer and Keith Cavallino, and established Nola Mud Jacking.

Uncertainties in the Business

James was upfront with his friends that this would be hard work since hewasn’t sure if he could build the equipment they need. Still, his friends believed in him, spent a large chunk of their savings to establish the business, and became equal owners of the company. Today, we continuously grow and employ experts in the industry.

Why Choose Us

At Nola Mud Jacking, we take pride in being eco-friendly. Instead of using expansion foams like most contractors do, we use dirt in filling under a broken concrete slab. The dirt will last much longer, especially in the humid Louisiana weather.

Our process involves drilling holes in the sunken slab, pumping the grout under and raising it to the desired height, and then patching the holes with cement. This process minimally disturbs the surrounding areas, making it more practical than concrete replacement.
